About the event

Exploring the Winter Landscape invites guests to slow down and discover the quiet activity of a wooded public garden in winter.

Guided along the trails, participants will learn how plants and animals survive the cold season—observing animal tracks, winter birds, dormant and protected plants, hibernating and soil-dwelling insects, and identifying trees by features such as bundle scars and bark.

This immersive walk reveals the hidden life and subtle beauty of a landscape often overlooked during winter.

NOTE: This is a guided walk. Terrain may be uneven, muddy, or snowy. Participants should dress appropriately.
