About the event

Join us for another exciting Kids at Kinney adventure as we explore the amazing world of carnivorous plants! Participants will discover why some plants have evolved to trap and digest insects, learn about the unique adaptations that help them survive in nutrient-poor environments, and meet some of the world's most fascinating plants up close.

From snap traps to sticky leaves and pitcher-shaped traps, kids will explore the different ways carnivorous plants capture their prey while learning about the habitats where they grow naturally. Through hands-on activities and close-up observation, participants will gain a new appreciation for these extraordinary plants and the science behind their incredible survival strategies.

Perfect for curious young scientists, nature lovers, and anyone fascinated by the strange and wonderful world of plants!
