When is the best time to see the gardens?

“Peak bloom” occurs from late April through late May. However, the gardens offer year-round seasonal interest, with different plants flowering throughout the year. Many native species bloom in the fall, and visitors can also enjoy the beauty of autumn foliage.

Tours & Field Trips

Come explore the beauty and serenity of our gardens and arboretum. Our 16 acres of winding, wooded trails are surrounded by native flora and support a diverse range of plant and wildlife species.

Group tours and field trips are available for groups of 8 to 50 people. To ensure the best possible experience, garden access is limited to a set number of tours per day.

Tours are offered Monday through Friday, with one group scheduled per hour. Tours may be self-guided, or you may hire up to two personal guides for the duration of your visit.

Whether your focus is ecology, biology, plants, animals, or simply a much-needed return to nature, trips can be customized to align with your classroom’s specific learning objectives and curriculum.
