Yes, we strongly encourage all guests to apply insect repellent. The gardens are surrounded by heavily wooded areas, and mosquitoes and ticks may be present.
Beginning this year, access to the gardens in May will be ticketed.
We understand this is a change for many visitors, but it is an important step in helping us preserve the rich biodiversity of the gardens, maintain and improve our infrastructure, and enhance accessibility for all.
Please note that weekday admission remains free for members, and weekend admission is offered at a reduced rate.

Yes! The gardens are suitable for all ages.
“Peak bloom” occurs from late April through late May. However, the gardens offer year-round seasonal interest, with different plants flowering throughout the year. Many native species bloom in the fall, and visitors can also enjoy the beauty of autumn foliage.
We consider individuals aged 60+ to be seniors and are therefore eligible for discounts, where applicable.
